V12 DBX Coming?
Discussion
I suppose this makes it more probable, that AML will introduce the 5.2 V12 DBX.
The (2022?) Ferrari V12 Purosangue (translation Thoroughbred).
Do you think Ferrari might have purchased a DBX (maybe using an anonymous name) to use for comparison?
AML possibly taking that as a compliment. Hope they did not give a discount. -

Car companies buy key competitor cars all the time and often run a comparator fleet. They will also borrow/hire other competitors for benchmarking exercises. Companies like Ford, with deeper pockets, even have tear-down areas where teams of engineers buy and take a competitor vehicle apart down to the last nut and bolt, write detailed reports on findings, put all the parts on display boards and invite their product engineers to view.AML possibly taking that as a compliment. There are even tear-down specialist companies like Munro, A2Mac1, etc. that will take cars apart, write reports on them and sell the intelligence to companies who don't want to do it themselves

Yes, I think it was mentioned by AML, that they mainly used a Porsche model as a comparator for the DBX.
Reminds me of an old tale. It was said that Ford dismantled a Mini. Their conclusion was, at the prices being charged, how can BMC possibly make any profit on that.

It is interesting what manufacturers think buyers want. Having test driven a DBX this year and ordered something different, it was not lack of power that made me dismiss it.
It isn’t about power; it’s about having an Aston engine in the DBX. I would buy a V12 DBX even if it had less power than the AMG v8 version. 12 > 8 and AML > AMGI wonder if Ferrari will do what Aston and Alfa did in making the SUV handle as close to a sports car as possible, keep the sharp Ferrari like steering.
I really don't think this is a clever idea tbh and the struggles of DBX and Stelvio might have something to do with this, but it would be a departure for Ferrari.

Not sure where you are, but here in Italy the Stelvios are going strong, very strong.I really don't think this is a clever idea tbh and the struggles of DBX and Stelvio might have something to do with this, but it would be a departure for Ferrari.

What do you mean by struggles of DBX?
I gather that a major component in the DBX handling, is a power operated anti roll bar.
Not much has been written about this, but can anyone here explain more?
Is it something which has been used for a while, or is it a first on the DBX?
How does it operate? The concept I think, is to keep the car body as level as possible when cornering.
