Hi lads

I've just seen this address advertised in a newspaper but it didn't look correct to me so assumed it was a forwarding address but it actually exisits, why does it not end in .com / .net or a country code?

Cheers

I am struggling to post a response - but I believe that the answer is the use of an alias.

If I can get my forum smarts together (currently receiving a 403 Forbidden error) then I will seek to post why.

TLD formats were extended a few years ago to provide further options outside of the older-style country codes and .net .com .org options.

If you key in the "melon" address you get to the same website.

As droopsnoot said its just a standard domain extension these days. No fancy trickery required, just register (via somewhere like goDaddy) and use like any other domain.

You can have mgsontour.finance if you wanted to.

Not a fan generally as people can be confused by them, but they will be the norm over time.

Thanks for the replies, I thought I was going nuts. . . . but hey. . . just a little outdated with progress!
