Don't know it, but it looks very nice. Having had a body off Chassis restoration on my 1998 Chim and currently going through an engine rebuild it would be worth seeing the chassis, but it looks very nice in the photos.

Hi JPW - What was the approx cost of the chassis restoration - was it a professional job ? What type of engine rebuild did you go for - any tweaks ?

If you check the MOT history, it seems likely that it has a new chassis or certainly work done on the chassis in 2010, because it failed its MOT in February for (amongst other items) corrosion of various suspension mounts and there was also an advisory for "all chassis members corroding". It then passed a month later with no advisories (once they remembered to put the front number plate back on!) and there has been no mention of corrosion since.

Whether 15,000 more miles and another 11 years means that it needs yet another chassis, or work done on it, is another matter, and it has hardly done any miles in the last 3 years. The last MOT is just over a year old, but no mention of corrosion or anything else.

It isn't surprising that it is for sale, as the owner is clearly not using it at all given the mileage of the last 3 years. It's obviously at a dealer now. Did it take a long time to sell last year because of Covid, or is it too expensive, or is there something else?
