Just a nice bit of televisual trivia really for those of a certain (or persuasion wink) - fifty years ago today, or rather tonight, the first episode of 'The Persuaders!' was shown on regional TV. I remember watching it with my Dad and although it's dated in parts I still enjoy watching it now, not least of course for the cars they used....

The icing on the slightly cheesy cake is John Barry's fantastic theme....

Miami Vice aired in the USA on this day in 1984. Two iconic shows with great cars, and stand out characters. Love rewatching the Persuaders!

The Aston is well known and still on the road, does anybody know if the Dino is still around?

Seems to be a lot of mystery around the fate of the Dino.

Excellent post. Love the show as dad had it on VHS when we were kids. I've always loved the theme tune and the cars.

Sublime theme tune and a glimpse into a rarified world before international travel became commonplace

When it launched in our area (it may have been different in your regions) it was a casualty of the power cuts.

Great theme tune and cars, but it's too cheesy a watch for me these days.

As I understand it, it's still in Italy and the current owner has no interest in its 'Persuaders' related past. The chassis number by the way is 00810GT wink

I had a good old gander at 'BS 1' at the NEC show in November 2016....

It was in a photo shoot with a UK registered LHD Dino a while ago which had a set of fake Italian plates fitted for some of the shots....

Lovely.

I always preferred the Dino and still do to this day, it's just so pretty. Not that I don't like the big Aston mind you! That 'race' from airport (nice?) To Monaco in the first episode was great.
