Not found mine yet, but they seem to be brass strips with multiple names on. Will grab a photo if I get up that end again
What three word...what a stupid idea. Don't get me started.. we have a perfectly good grid system without introducing something commercial that they won't release the algorithm or dictionary for

I forgot to look for mine. Lord March is hosting an event in October so will try and take a look then.
Lord March....Freddy??What event is he hosting, something similar to the MM I wonder that his father, the Duke of Richmond is hosting?
I'm an Engineer, Pedant is my middle name

It s odd GRRC say my plaque in Paddock 77 is weather damaged and yet I look at it and it still looks like new as I clean it once a year to stop it tarnishing and keep it like new.

So I have my old plaque still in Paddock 77 which is the plaque I paid for, and a new plaque in Paddock 113 which the GRRC paid for.

Good ole goodwood, I guess as it looks different to the others theres something wrong with it... now if goodwood looked after them all and polished them once a year they'd all look shiny still

I suspect it would be like the Forth Bridge - they'd never finish. There are thousands of these plates - mine is near the Lavant Straight miles from anywhere, although I'm also on a plate on the pit lane.NDA said:

everything else gets painted white at least twice a year at the circuit! walls, fences and structures! I think a good quality Stainless Steel plaque would of stood the test of time better, The brass plaques and even the newer replacement plaques are suffering from dezinification hence why they are turning pinky brown, Brass is an alloy, composed of a higher element of copper then zinc and maybe a little tin or lead.
Back in the day when I was a lad, I used to clean my Doctor and Dentist brass plaques placed outside their surgery’s in Edinburgh for pocket money, I never expected to ever have my name on a brass plaque, hence why I polish my old and new plaque’s yearly.

Why do you get a plaque?
Is it simply part of being a GRRC member?
I should really read the bumf that comes in the box every year shouldn't I.

This might help, about the GSA Paddock Club Plaques.
Dear Mr R.I.Campbell
Hopefully you’ve now received a letter from The Duke of Richmond with an update regarding this year’s headline motorsport events and your GRRC membership. If you haven’t received it yet, then rest assured that it is on its way, and you can read it here in the meantime. After pursuing many options, we have sadly taken the decision that we will not be holding the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival this year. I know for many of you, the Goodwood motorsport events are highlights in your summer calendars and it is upsetting for all that we've had to postpone until 2021.
These will no doubt be challenging times for all of us, as we begin to face the wide-ranging implications of these postponements and the lasting effects of social distancing on our events. With this in mind, it is our hope that with the renewal of the Goodwood Supporters’ Association (GSA) as outlined in the letter, our members and the wider motorsport community will stand together as we weather the storm.
All members who continue their GRRC membership into 2021 will become members of the Goodwood Supporters’ Association and receive exclusive benefits in doing so. Upon renewal, your GRRC membership pack will be dispatched together with your GSA pin badge, windscreen sticker and authentication certificate. You will also be entitled to have your name permanently engraved on the perimeter fence of the motor circuit as a perpetual reminder of your support of Goodwood and historic motorsport.
Those wishing to make a contribution over and above, and upgrade to our GSA Paddock Club, can be part of an exclusive group that have their name forever associated with one of Goodwood’s famous historic paddock shelters on a unique brass plaque – or alternatively you can choose from one of our carefully selected group of prints, showcasing a variety of the most famous Goodwood moments, signed by the Duke of Richmond. In addition, you will be able to enjoy exclusive guided tours of the paddocks during the 2021 season. Taking place at twilight on the eve of each headline motorsport event, these tours will be hosted by Goodwood experts and will enable you to enjoy a magical moment as the competition cars undertake final preparations. Alternatively, if you would like to make an additional donation but do not wish to join the Paddock Club, then your silver pin badge can be exchanged for a commemorative gold one with a discretionary donation.
