Litchfield M4 stage 1
Discussion
Litchfield will strongly encourage you to get their crank hub fix at the same time, with tales of terror about borked motors. The crank hub fix costs about the same as the map so it doubles the cost of the map if you get it done as well.
Whether you do actually need the crank hub fix on a stage 1 car is open to discussion. CS versions of S55 motors run higher power from the factory without the fix.
If your car is in warranty and you get the crank hub fix, I would say thats definately the end of your warranty because its an obvious mechanical modification and clearly not stock.

If your car's in warranty and you remap it, that's the end of your engine/drivetrain warranty anyway. Similar to Steve's post above, I have Bootmod3 stage 1 on my M2C and it has transformed it. Couldn't go back to stock would feel very flat and weak by comparison.
Crank hub fix is 1850 at Litchfield or can be done most places for around £1800 now. Also wouldn't worry about it too much at stage 1. But worth bearing in mind for the future.
They might offer you a catch plate. It does nothing, waste of money. I know two people who have spun crank hubs. Both their engines were fine afterwards. And both had Litchfield catch plates fitted when they spun.
