My Nan, second from left. Probably in the 40s, and likely accessible by train from London.

I initially thought Brighton, but the buttress spacing seems to be out.

Tbf there's not 'that' many places with the beach set so low below the buildings etc. Broadstairs a little similar too.

The one on the left is my Great Aunt Emmie, second is my Nan. The rest are fair game.

I have been back to Dad, who now think I have special powers LOL - Supposedly this was a Sunday school outing, but he couldn't remember where to. Ramsgate made sense to him, as he remembered lots of hops growing on the way. Lots of hops in Kent. Supposedly holidays were only really available from 50s Bedfordshire if a bus was hired for the task. Hence the Sunday school link.

in respect to the date. As my Aunt (in-law) is there, it must be post 1950, as my Great Uncle as a Japanese POW and didn't get back to match making until the early 50s.

You have made an old man and his middle aged son very happy, so I hope the story added some context.
