Discussion
We have ordered 2 mobile phones which the company we dealt with failed to deliver - they have sent wrong lower-spec models twice - we have sent both sets back after we realized they are just not going to deliver what they have promised as they have underpriced the contracts. I have informed them that due to this fact I want them to cancel any agreements we have entered with them or they have entered into on our behalf (network - 02). We kept on chasing on phone and email to get our phone numbers back and are now being chased by 02 to pay for service we don't use. We have complained to 02 but they don't want to know - the telecom company who sold us the phones avoids our calls and basically doesn't give a f
k.
Where do we go from here? Where to complain? Ofcom?
Thanks in advance - yours Sick(ofit)rabbit!

Who do you pay your line rental, O2 or the Telco?
Proper good question - 02 sent a reminder about almost £200 outstanding but I'm unsure what it's for - the previous contract was with o2 as well (directly) but the rental was only £40 and the contract ended. After complaining to o2 they wrote back to me saying he is teleco details we don't care and have nothing to do with them - I need to dig acc numbers and see what's what - just been so busy recently dealing with all sorts of C.R.A.P this is the last thing on my mind - just had a brain fart about it this evening and turned to the internet which sorts out all sorts of problems right?I had a similar situation quite a few years ago with Orange and one of their agents.
In the end I sent an email directly to the Orange CEO and things got sorted.

This depends on a couple of factors.
Who bills you for your line rental. Is it O2 or the supplier company.
If O2 then you can go to them as that is where your contact sits and complain directly. They will resolve.
However, I fear that your contract sits with a reseller. This means that they buy the contract from O2 at wholesale and your agreement sits with them, and any hardware / contractual issues are for them to resolve.
I am happy to discuss off line. In either instance you will be hard pressed to cancel your sim contract, but within your rights to claim for the hardware costs.
Ok it seems like it's O2 who bills me but they don't want it to discuss it with me as I don't know the email address registered with the acc (I guess telecom registered with theirs) but still sending me payment reminders via post but no bill - after complaining they wrote to me saying I need to resolve with telecoms comp. Telecoms rep said he cant talk to me as I have notified O2 and it's now with telecoms legal team - guess what - they don't have one - receptionists was mega surprised when asked for it and gave me an email to the complaints dept instead - yes they don't reply either - shall I just go there and torch the place? As nothing else will untangle this I don't think.

Ok - I will be complaining to Ofcom about o2 trying to keep on charging me and not listening to my complaint. But who could help me to deal with the telecomms company?
Tried the ceo?I had a similar scenario with Vodafone and one of their resellers. Having been a personal and business customer of Vodafone for 30 years, I was contacted (unbeknown to me) by one of their approved resellers who sorted out my upgrades/renewals. Kept mentioning Vodafone so all seemed fine.
All fell apart when the hardware failed to materialise and what did come was incorrect, and I only realised that I had been dealing with a reseller when I phoned Vodafone to try and sort out the problems, and they wouldn't speak to me.
Finally got it resolved and ditched the reseller and back to Vodafone direct.
It seems odd that the networks seem happy to pass on their loyal, long term customers to these crap resellers. I am super wary now.
Glad you got your issue sorted.
