Those little secrets.
Discussion
My other half loves doing word search games but often gets stuck finding words from the random group of letters. She will finally give in and will reluctantly ask me to help her. She then hands over her mobile phone and sits reading a book.
What she doesn't know is that all I do is google a word finder on the lap top and after a couple of minutes of pretending to find the words I just type the letters into the word finder and hey presto it comes up with all the possible word combinations which I then quickly look through until I find the words that fit.
I then hand her phone back with the completed word grid, with a simple "that wasn't too hard " and she thanks me but I know inside she is a bit annoyed that I get them so quickly when she has sat there sometimes for an hour or so with no success.

My wife likes to watch Only Connect and generally records it to watch later.
I went to the pub and it was on so I watched it.
Went home and she put it on to watch , oh I've never really watched this, is it any good?
Aced the b

I had to put her out of her misery.

My wife and both of my daughters are always telling me something but that I mustn't tell xx.
Does my bloody head in.
I have got so sick of it that I have actually told them not to tell me anything that involves me keeping it a secret from someone else.
In the meantime they have told all their friends and told them not to tell Does my bloody head in.

I've been making up kickoff times for the football for years without my OH twigging.
She's never noticed that I always seems to come home at the same time whether the kickoff's at 3.00 or, perhaps, "1.00".....
That’s ace. My wife knows football is 1:30 till 6. She's never noticed that I always seems to come home at the same time whether the kickoff's at 3.00 or, perhaps, "1.00".....
Mrs will say, Oh I didn't know Liverpool are playing tonight?
Me: Yes, they're against Barca again can you believe.
Fast forward an hour and she hasn't twigged that it is now a different match.

My missus finds it strange that I like to be at the ground around 1pm for a 3pm kickoff but meeting people for a pre-match beer and chat is as much a part of the day as the actual match.
Exactly. Where's the fun in just rocking up and going straight to your seat? There are people to meet and beers to drink. As Johnny Vaughan says, "Don't let the football spoil a good day out at the football.".
A couple of years ago we were doing an all-dayer in London (train down at 6:30) taking in the game at Luton. We were 3-0 down at half time and agreed that if we let in another we'd sack it off and go back to the pub. It took a lot of restraint to not celebrate the fourth Luton goal as we piled out of the ground on 50 minutes!
