Went to the original one in Instanbul last year and it was f
king s
t. My girlfriend is Turkish and wanted me to try it.
Waited 2 hours for the table (we had a reservation), initially they even kept us outside on the street as the bar/holding area was at capacity - full of stupid Insta
s taking selfies everywhere. Not so much as an offer of a drink to apologise for the wait.
s
By the time we were seated, at midnight, all the decent meat cuts were sold out and we got sold some random stuff they had lying about which was ok to good, not great.
At the end when I got presented the full bill I was seriously unimpressed and suggested they take a few things off the bill or I wouldn't pay. A half hour heated "debate" ensued with the waiter and then the manager , they claimed that I drank and ate everything I ordered and saw no reason to compensate us for the 2 hour delay!!! Even started getting aggressive the pieces of s
t
Eventually I got a few things off the bill, but I vowed never to set foot there again...
I am going next Friday to the London one.
My girlfriend is a bit of a fan boy... She has been told she is paying this one and I fully intend on behaving like the worst behaved customer they have ever seen, f

If there was a financal crash I imagine it would go under, but currently it's booming and the rich are getting richer. You got to hand it to the bloke, he has used social media to brilliant effect.

I'm one of them those Londoners and not a stranger to this kind of place. They all take the piss to some extent, but here they have taken it to yet another level!
I hope other restos don't cotton on to the 15% service charge... Went to a place on Tuesday that did 13.5% (12.5% became standard many years ago), and I thought that was cheeky!

15% service! That's a piss take in the UK which actually has a decent minimum wage.
No problem paying 18-20% service in the US when I know its the only way the front of house staff make any money, but in countries that don't have that norm its cheeky.
FYI the US tipping tradition has its roots in slavery, because of course it does....

It's 3 burgers so edited your post for you as still relevant.100 quid? I'd want a f
