I’m not sure I’m in the correct part of the forum so mods please feel free?

I recently discovered a video on YouTube with Martin Brundle and Damon Hill driving a couple of Sharknose 156.

The pair didn’t explain where they originated from?

As is fairly well known Enzo had all the original cars destroyed. Chris Rea had one created for his film.

I wasn’t aware there are now two others, how did that come about?

James Allington was making one and I should know what became of it, but don't.

Originally one was recreated in Yellow by Jim Stokes Workshops using an original type engine, now there are two with the cars having been re-done by Setford and Co

This one is not authentic, but fun nevertheless, and quite an impressive project https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a37667391...

Those who remember that far back will remember that Chris Rea built a shark nose in 1995. it wasn't a correct copy, not having the correct engine, but I present here a photo I took in 1995 at the Silverstone Classic of Sir Stirling Moss at the wheel of said car.His (Chris Rea's) love of Ferrari is perhaps well illustrated by the song "Daytona" in which he sings of "twelve wild horses in silver chains".

In 2009 I was invited to the Revival with the C-type for the 80th anniversary of Sir Stirling Moss as one of the cars that he had raced during his career and saw a "real" shark nose copy.

In the day, Charles March allowed a replica to race if no "real" car was known to exist, which is why two saddle tank Lancia Ferraris were also present that year as was my 1952 C-type.

Damon Hill had never driven an F1 Ferrari........and he still hasn't!

Great copies but why gloss over that fact in the vid.

Good morning Gentlemen.

Thank you for all replies, especially Lowdrag for your memories.

The link to the carbon bodied Hyabusa engine replica was interesting, and a fabulous effort. I bet that little number is an absolute hoot to drive!

I bought my own Sharknose a few months ago as I felt my collection was missing such a beautiful car.

Here it is.
