I do sometimes enjoy dividing members total number of posts by the number of months. This usually results in me shaking my head whispering WTF. This mornings look at a prominent member, 115,930 posts, over 234 months, 495 posts per month, 17 posts per day…….every day….for 20 years.

Whispers…….WTF.

I seem to remember a poster called “notdave” who wrote in northern dialect (posting in dialect is always annoying) who amassed seemingly loads of posts a day, and then vanished!

All I would say, as someone with a hilarious ratio, is that correlation is not causation by which I mean having seen many of Eric’s posts, he generally contributes real value and insight to a thread.

As for others, it’s like the old joke about how do you know if someone has run a marathon. Don’t worry, if they have, they will have told you.

I suspect that some serial posters known by the make of cars they collected, or by a reg number, suddenly disappeared: banned! The thing is, the ones I recall often talked a lot of sense sometimes seasoned with a little B.S.Sauce. Presumably they will emerge, Phoenix like, under a new nickname. I wonder who are the censors; as the pompous though erudite Leonard Setright said:”Quis costodiet ipsos custodes?”

I've seen the posts too many a day, but a lot of PHers spend all day at work on PH, so not exactly weird really. More weird are the poster who get banned after ban and keep coming back, that is sad really.

Or the ones that set up ''funny'' accounts to troll, more sadder. I mean trolling a bunch of uptight blokes on the internet, isn't reallly hard work.
