These seats have come into my possession but I have absolutely no idea what they are from.

I'm guessing something 50s or 60s and probably British.
Both seats fold, so i'm assuming a 2 door to allow access to the rear.

One set appears to have some basic height adjustment .

This is clearly a job for the collective wisdom of PH

Looks similar to the mid-50s Morris Minor seats, but yours has 6 instead of 5 lines. Perhaps some other similar BMC car from that period:

The 60s Minors I used to work on many year ago all had exposed webbing underneath rather than metal or wood base boards as these have. The design could have changed over the years though of course.

They def look British and also have a BMC vibe. Mini? Spridget?

Could be pre-war e.g. Morris 8

There wasn't much innovation in car seats during those decades.

Thanks guys.

They look similar to Austin A35 seats but as already mentioned, they seem to have webbing bases.

The A30 had different panel/ stitching.

The search continues......

Could they have been re-covered? The vinyl on one comes further down the front on one than on the other.

Certainly Not Sprite/Midget, but could be from any two door saloon.

Agree

While appearing the same, there are subtle differences as you point out.

Also the shape of the metal base is different.

Was about to post the same. Not Mini or Imp either. Look 1950's to me but the solid base doesn't look 50's.

Looks like the squab and backrest have been swapped over, one backrest has 5 lines and the squab has 6 lines and vice versa.
