Hi all

My neighbour has been given a mobility scooter with no battery, how do you work out which one it needs as no manual with it. . . . is it a matter of any 12v motorbike battery that physically fits or is there something slightly more technical about it?

Cheers

They're usually AGM batteries.

Have a look on eBay and see if you can match it to the scooter make.

They are usually 2x12v AGM batteries, just pick 2 that will fit. Usually the manufacturer will list the battery Amps in the original literature so you just need to find the replacements.

As a warning some of the smaller car boot type scooters have a battery caddy which you will also need to house the batteries.
