My E64 has a leak from the front active ARB, or Dynamic Drive system in BMW speak. The leak isn't terrible, but I want it sorted.

The E60/61/63/64 could all have the option for the active ARB, but they don't always share the same part number for it - E61 is same as E64, but E63 is different and E60 is different again. However, the item itself looks exactly the same across all models.

There's a fair few for sale on eBay, but question is, could I use one that has a slightly different part number but came off an E63? Or is there a reason it's different? Perhaps it's based on vehicle weight?

I‘m guessing that the passive stiffness of the bar varies between models.
