Can't find the old thread but this suprsingly good tool is undergoing various updates. If you saw the original thread and thought it only works for a limited time (till July) the updates extend it. Mine is now :-

Microsoft AntiSpyware Version: 1.0.615
This version expires on: 31/12/2005

Get it if you have WinXP it's good.

I've been using this for a few months now and must say, it's a pretty good bit of software. And it's free! If you have a MS OS that is.

Good bit of software this, not sure if I trust it on its own without sywareblaster and spybot, but it seems to to the job.
Anyone use it as their only spyware protection?

It is a good bit of software but you should still use it in conjunction with a full virus checker.

I still rate spykiller as slightly better than the microsoft product as it seems to pick up a greater range of nasties but there's not much in it.

We install it on all our remote user's laptops, in conjunction with Symantec Corp V10
These 2 have seen us right for a while now
