Incorrect ‘acquired on’ date V5C

I bought a secondhand car. The v5 has come through with acquired on date of 26/07 but I actually just got it on 26/09. Any ideas? V5 only has sections for incorrect address etc

Any concerns over speeding tickets or parking fines over the 2 months?

Well I’ve only had it 4 days so who knows?!

Also I was thinking about the whole stupid SORN tax thing, although they did still have it taxed and insured (ie sept)

I would have thought you could return it with a covering letter but can you be sure the mistake is not down to you or the seller sending in the wrong date? (My only worry is then it might be considered an error you need to pay a document replacement fee for)
