Aliexpress head units - any good?/ Hard to install?

Morning all

I was just wondering, in addition to the camera repair, should I swap out the head unit for one off Ali express?

Are they any good in the experience of the heads here?? is it a ballache to swap out a head unit generally? Im not going to do soldering etc.

Don't bother, spend a little more and buy a JVC/Kenwood etc, I bought a couple of Pioneer Android auto units a few years back and they have been in a couple of different cars and are a piece of piss to fit with iso connectors and harness kits, they just work, unlike a lot of the AE kits that require connectors to be changed, are a non-standard size and getting fascia adapters for them is impossible.

I just bought a very nice, second hand Kenwood double din instead.

I know that any of the budget units are just going to annoy me.

Interesting. I saw a review on youtube recently, basically for branded stuff like JVC and Pioneer you were getting fewer features and slower software than mid range stuff like Pumpkin.

Personally I would avoid Ali Express as its a total gamble, and go mid range.
