Christmas present needed - Old Nintendo games console games
Discussion
OP reminisces about old Nintendo games and I want them to relive that.
No idea which one - but well well before the Wii.
I need quality plastic full size controllers. Min 2 player.
Lots of games. Classics that they would have played.
HDMI connectivity
15-20 foot of cable to connect to console.
Your ideas please.

Nintendo re-released the NES and Super NES in classic format, identical looks but smaller, 20-30 games built-in - prices have been shot up as they discontinued it. Found this one on gumtree with an additional 7700 games for £120 https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-games-consoles/nin...
Nintendo Gamecube with a modchip, a Swiss dvd and a sd2sp2 adaptor?

I have a RetroPie. Came ready built/loaded, and with 2 PlayStation type controllers for a total of £89.
It contains emulators of about 14 different console systems from the 70's onwards and around 4000 games, right up to PS2 and includes computer stuff such as Amstrad/Spectrum/Amiga/C64 etc.
I would look on Ebay for one of those if I were you, because the amount of games you get for the money is bonkers, and it all works really well. Really slick menus etc.

You can pay extra for the Nintendo case if you like.
I’ve also seen a nes cartridge used as a case

Depends which era, but if it is the N64, heres my advice:
Buy a RGB modded N64. It will cost about £90. The standard N64 can output S-Video (which most TV's won't support) or Composite (which looks really, really bad!)
Don't bother with the S-Video to HDMI boxes. I've tried them all and they are all garbage. Same with the N64 to HDMI converters.
There are HDMI mods for the N64 but they are super expensive. (£500+ if you can find one!)
With an RGB N64 you can use a SCART cable or a Retrotink RAD2x (if you can find one) to convert to HDMI. This will give a decent picture.
Most of the good games sold plenty so can be bought as loose carts for £10 or so each on eBay. Rare games or mint boxed games are pretty expensive.
Look at buying an Everdrive 64 (or a copy like a Super64 cart).
It's a bit hard to find original controllers that don't have worn out joy sticks but you can buy new joystick units. They are simple to swap. Some are ok. Some are crap. I've got some GameCube style sticks in mine.
