Fuel line question
Discussion
Hi all,
Really basic question, I have a perished fuel hose on my old Ducati, trying to get it running today and the only fuel hose I can find to buy locally in the right size is listed as injector hose.
Its rated SAE J30R9 which looking online the only diffence I can see is it has a higher pressure rating? However this is only for a carb bike. I had a Google and most things say use for injector systems and fuel hose for everything else. Apart from being more expensive any reason to not use it?
Thanks

There are a lot of crap quality hoses around even with that number branding on them.

No reason. Just be aware that ethanol attacks rubber and there have been an alarming number of cases of new hose theoretically the right spec from respected manufacturers which have perished within a few years. Make sure what you're buying is good quality from a reputable supplier and not just bad old stock being sold off by unscrupulous people.Belle427 said:

I picked up the hose, comes from a reputable independent motorfactors who do enough trade to not have things sitting around for long, all date stamped with December 2020 so can't have been sat around too long! Bike all plumbed up and fired up for the first time in about 5 years so thanks for the help!
