Shmee150 specs his Emira

Interesting to hear Tims views about the car and his chosen spec. for the car.

I was down at B+C this week and looking at the colours. Never been a fan of green, though I did have BRG on a Caterham, but I think it will look good on the Emira. It's a very dark green, nearly black at some angles. The red is a dark red, almost the same colour as Tims Ford GT.

Lotus is a driving enthusiasts brand. It isn't a lifestyle luxury good like many other car brands have successfully positioned themselves as. Consequently Schmee getting involved feels like someone photo bombing all your holiday snaps on the once in a lifetime holiday that you've saved hard for! His involvement just makes me groan. Grump.

For good or ill Lotus is trying to attract the "lifestyle luxury good" type of buyer who might otherwise buy a Porsche - as well as driving enthusiasts. Hence the involvement of the likes of Schmee, annoying as it is.
