As petrol heads, can electric vehicles be classed as actual cars.
( Hybrids... exempted)

Carriage: Drawn by horses.
Fuel powered: Horseless carriage.
Automobile
Car.

Abbreviations:
General Purpose: ‘GP’ to Jeep
Electric Vehicle: EV
Evolution: EV


SO.... In the future, will we just call then EV’s.
(not E - VEE)
Leaving the true CAR alone for us to appreciate.

Going to buy a new EV sounds good to me.

The word 'car' is just an abbreviation of motor carriage; you will note that a specific energy source for said motor is conspicuous by its absence.
