Rs5 buying guide
Discussion
can’t seem to find a guide on here specific for this car. Is it because they really are that good or is just because if you read it you won’t buy one 😫. Really want to get my hands on a 2013 or earlier model rs5 but I’ve been told that transmission problems would put most people off buying one of these big beasts.
As per B8 RS4 if you're talking facelift cars.
The G676 gear selection module is a common fault on pre-facelift cars. Ideal if it's already been done or allow ~3k for a specialist to replace if and when it comes up (16 hours of labour and not a fun job). If and when it goes is pot luck.

That doesn’t sound to terrible to me. ive been hearing stories of triptronic gear boxes Failing and costing almost as much as the car to put right again.
And I believe that a proper gearbox service aswell as making sure a final drive oil change has been done at 70,000 miles is a must but apart from that they Don’t really sound any worse than any other modern performance car to run.
Thanks for the reply appreciated
