Reproduction 16234 DJ Dial
Discussion
Is it possible to buy a reproduction Datejust dial? Technically 'fake' as not manufactured by Rolex, but I want one that fits a genuine case and movement. The internet is full of dials, of varying quality, which fit Miyota and ETA movements, but I haven't seen anything so far that will fit a 3135.
The watch has been serviced and I have no interested in Rolex charging me thousands for an unnecessary service and unwanted polish and reaming me over the dial. Without the unnecessary work the dial 'might' still be reasonable, but I suspect not and it definitely isn't available.
You used to be able to buy 'perfect' dials when watches like this were bought and stripped, but a rising tide lifts all ships and this is far, far less common now. As a result all I seem able to find is dials which have been swapped for better dials (which are worse than mine, which only has a couple of dark marks) and people are asking £300-£700 for them!
