EQC Mercedes Rear Door Won’t Unlock

Our Mercedes EQC rear driver’s side door does not unlock from outside or inside. You can pull the locking pin up, it makes no difference. We are being quoted November to get the car looked at under warranty by our dealer.

Any thoughts or potential solutions appreciated.

Faulty actuator or child lock mechanism jammed?

I wouldn't be happy waiting a month, surely a safety issue for rear seat passengers if that door is not able to be opened in an accident etc?

Given that it would be an MoT fail, you could make a strong argument that the car isn't road-worthy in its current state?
