Having been a SEGA lad when growing up, I only played metroid at my mates on his SNES back in the day.

However after getting the mini nintendo consoles a few tears, ago I played it a lot.

Was really excited to see, a modern side scroller with the full weight of nintendo quality control behind it.
This, was the final push, if this fane flopped they may shelve the franchise, thankfully urs doing great guns.

Ordered the special Ed last night do hoping to play soon.

Any one else playing?

Yep I’m playing. It’s absolutely fantastic but I’m somewhat bias as Metriodvania’s are probably my favourite genre, plus I’m something of a Switch fanboy.

Totally recommend it though, only about 3 hours in but it’s really impressed me so far. It controls perfectly and is surprising dark for a First Party Nintendo game. It’s tough in an old school way; it doesn’t nanny you and the boss fights are hard as nails, you’ll need learn their patterns to survive.

sounds good. i do enjoy the genre, other one I'm on is bloodstained: ROTN, but getting owned by first boss lol.

i do love my switch, but enjoying fallen order on PC and have demon souls on ps5, but yet to play.

need to get my eye in as a souls noob.

I'm a sucker for a steelbook so had to have that one

I really want this game but I just know I'll get stuck on the first boss battle. I fear my reactions are no longer quick enough for this sort of game.

I can confirm, its fantastic. Very old school in both feel and in difficulty - but brought up to modern day standards. Both my 13 year old and I are loving it, its the type of game that makes buying a Switch worth it just for this alone. I think it'll be a classic.

I grew up with Super Metroid and have played it to death, enjoying randomisers and sequence breaking tricks.
I'm finding Dread quite difficult. Enemies hit like trains, I am not too sure that I enjoy the EMMI sections but overall, a brilliant game.
Took me a few tries to get through one boss, I'm currently dying repeatedly to an EMMI and will have another go later in the week.

still waiting for my copy to arrive. Game really is piss poor nowadays.

delivered by hermes, £5 for delivery, its only arrived at local depot yesterday, and now "theres been a delay"

last time i ever order from Game. local store closed in March and their online service has been atrocious.

a shame as ive shopped at Game since the EB days.

reading trustpilot reviews, im worried it may never come.
