GTO ZOOM has been ably fettled by the factory, so my gearchange is perfect, the "zzzzzz" sound has gone (exhaust manifold gasket) and my squeak was the, by now, famous exhuast bracket.
The only thing in addition to the service was new pads and disks all around. It seems the DS2500's really do wear down the disks if you do a lot of track work. The disks were quite reasonable I thought price wise, and to say the stopping power is now "stonking" is the understatement of the day.
The combination of DS2500's all round plus new disks had given the brakes a whole new positive feel, although people should be aware that it's probably new disks after every 6-10 hard track days.
What a shame it's pissing down so I can't go and play around Surrey's finest roads.
Thanks to Micknall for lending me his Focus, it made the whole thing work very well for me fitting in dropping it off at the factory and being able to do business trips at the same time.
The main reason I dropped the car off at the factory rather than MV was to also get a first hand checkup progress on the M14. It's certainly going to be worth the wait
I do love this car :)

Great stuff.
I was under the impression that DS2500's were standard on the Noble. AP Racing seem to supply this (fantastic) pad with most of their brake kits, and APR developed the brake setup with Noble IIRC.
Are you finding the M400 any different to live with compared to your M12 (apart from a bigger grin when the loud pedal is nailed)?
Lastly, are you able to tell us anything about the M14, or have you had a heavy threat from Micknal that if you let any information out he will force you to drive the Focus EVERYWHERE?

Disks and pads were around £1000 from memory fitted - the bill is still in the car so I'll have to fish it out if you want the exact figure.
Pads are around £250 of that figure IIRC, so not that bad I thought - the BMW X5 needed the same (fortunatly I got that under warranty) and it was over £2k on the bill which then was credited back!
Something to remember though if you track the car heavily - that was after 6 track days and 6000 miles.

M14 - sorry, nothing more I can add over what's already public domain.

I suspect the M14 is going to be the giant killer of all giant killers. The aeros will be fully sorted, the engine is longitudinal which provides for all sorts of solutions and allows gearboxes that can take more power, there's shedloads of power in reserve in the 3.0 V6 and its got to handle at least as well as the M400. Plus it will have all the soft touches like the interior trim etc sorted. I do hope they go a bit "TVR" inside because I'd want a showcase Brit car performance wise to be showcase internaly. Add in the switchlogic traction control and you'll have a plaything to end all playthings.
So watch out Ferrari and Porsche.
Who'd want a 430 anyway.

Rob,
I think you may have mis-interpreted what someone told you. As a company, we're constantly striving to better what has gone before - and that certainly applies to the new car.
Noble has set something of a benchmark with the M12 and M400, and we intend to raise the bar yet again when we launch our new product to the media later this year.
Also bear in mind that this car is leaping into a new class for Noble, one occupied by far more expensive machinery, so believe me, it will have to be fiercely competitive.

Thanks Simon, this sounds very exciting!
What I had been led to believe previously was that the M14 is a Gradn Tourer and that we shouldn't expect the it to be the best "product" for the track (obviously the M400 holds that spot) - that was what I was alluding to - is this the position or have you upped the ante on the M14 making it a Grand Tourer AND a track machine par excellence?!

As long as it handles as well as a 430 or M5 or DB9. Then we're all laughing.
Would not expect it to be as fast round a track as the M400 but it will hopefully have more power. And it should do too!![]()
Justin can I be first in line to have yours when your done with it! Say £45K ish.
M400 and Ferrari 430 both 1m22s on the stig circuit, Enzo's and others even faster, so no reason why an M14 as a GT could not be faster than an M400. The fastest are not pure track cars but road cars with hefty price tags. Hopefully the M14 will be up there but at a much prettier price.
