The comment by Mr Plowman about tractors was great. https://www.chichester.co.uk/news/crime/chichester...
Could do with a group like that round here.
The awful noise of the rice krispie brigade is really annoying, especially at night when trying to get some sleep,Why do they think it sounds good?
Even modern golfs and audis with their paddle shifts sounds s
te,like the ignition system has just failed in spectacular fashion.
A little bit of crackle can sound good on some engines/cars.
My car does it slightly when changing gear at high revs but that is because of the cam overlap and character of the engine.

To be fair, over lockdown there were a group that'd go drifting between the roundabouts/junctions near Tangmere/Rolls Royce and that was bloody Irritating as well as being audible pretty widely due to how quiet it was otherwise.
That's the only time I've ever been woken up. Happened perhaps a dozen times - haven't heard it for months.
Other than that, I get to listen to spitfires and other historic warbirds whilst working from home and occasionally if cloud/wind is in the right direction some daytime noise from Goodwood on their louder days. No drama at all.

Other people’s cars bad.
My car good
My car good

Yep that's how these threads usually go.
Feathering the throttle going around in a built up area so it sounds like a repeated shotgun going off is not cool.
Unless you two are that type of driver;)

Mmmm. car impounded for 72 hours and the driver gets to pay the towing and impound fees. Neat idea.

I don't think sports cars are the ones being targetted here, they'll be after the
s with their pop and bang maps and the learner bikes without any exhaust silencing.
There's no reason a car should make that much noise unless the engine is actually producing power.
I completely agree with this.

The "farting maps" as i like to call them.. mercs audis BMW's etc, just f
k off! Most of the public will just think your car has a miss fire or something wrong with it!
My EVO is high powered, but I only have a 3" exhaust from the down pipe to the tail pipe. Also have 3 silencers in total. Lovely sound and no drone at cruising revs.
Hmmmm not sure if I should be worried or not, as he does only live 6 doors away from me…

For now I’ll blame the Ford Falcon that resides almost directly opposite him though as that’s also not exactly what I’d call quiet either.
Innocent until he knocks on my door to tell my otherwise I’d say.
