I-Pace without a DC socket?

I was just with a client who has a few EVs. He told me he has £75k's worth of i-Pace which does not have a DC charging socket! I thought all Evs did?

DC as in fast/rapid chargers.. yes, I'm pretty sure all EV's released today have it in either a CCS or Chademo socket.

As it says the lower half (the two larger pins) do the DC bit.

It has a CCS. The person you’re talking to may be more familiar with the older Chademo which is it’s own plug, CCS looks like a type 2 AC socket and some makes have a small removeable flap over the lower, DC part.

As far as I remember, the i-Pace does have a cover over the lower part... to a casual observer, it looks like there are no DC pins.

Your client sounds like a muppet. He needs to remove the bottom cover and he's got CCS.

And that is the exact same arrangement as on all CCS equipped cars (as far as I know). Definitely someone who needs a bit of education

To be fair he is a classic customer who doesn't know this stuff and his fleet guy says no DC charging and I didn't want to make him sound silly (or me) but could not believe it did not have a DC socket.
