Mobile phone or tablet for elderly
Discussion
A close family member has just gone into a care home. They have cognitive impairment and typically struggle with mobile phones. Is there a mobile or tablet that would be easy to use for them? I expect it will eventually get broken either due to dropping or water due to lack of care but I am trying to find a way they can call family members occasionally.
I was thinking about the tablet as surely if the care home has WiFi(need to check) they can use that for video calls for example. The family member is accustomed to having a landline phone with big buttons (the cheap Argos.variety) but that's not possible in the carehome so trying to think of other options.
