Cracking race, though I must confess I missed the first few laps while watching the BTCC from Mondello. Didn't spot that the bikes were on BBC2. Doh!.

Glad I saw it from indoors though.

Enough water around that there was no noise at all from the track today.

I feel sorry for the all those that camp for the weekend - long hot summer and droughts forecast and the one weekend that would really benefit from good weather we get the most persistent rain of the year.

Didn't look much like a top sporting event from the TV shots when it is so wet and windy. Then again they didn't exactly have any top people to present the prizes. No minister of sport for example, so far as I could tell. Wonder why not?
