Watched this clip (shown in article) yesterday of an argument between a guy who had parked his van near a camera van on a stretch of road. For the record the area has plenty of sea front parking but the camera van is parked in this area too.

Is there a rule about parking close to a camera van if the person parks in actual designated parking areas? The operator seemed very angry!!!

That camera operator really shouldn't talk to people like that.

I expect I'll be in a minority here but I hate people driving without tax / MOT / insurance so am not anti these vans. And if you're speeding and don't see it then you shouldn't be driving!

I've heard of motorists who park immediately behind a camera van being done for obstruction, but that didn't look to be the case here. The camera van operator is going to give himself a heart attack going on like that.

Reminded me of this

Only one. What a worthless existence hiding all day in a van. Sad life.

Let's be honest if it's a big straight road (1km or longer as mentioned) and there's a Camera van then it's not for safety is it? It's for revenue collection

Yes, don't speed, but it's easy to stray over the limit a little bit, we all do it from time to time

I've seen camera vans parked in tree covered laybys on the A272 and hidden behind motorway bridges on the M6, I've seen camera vans disguised as tractor trailers in South Wales and I've seen police literally "taking cover" behind an unmarked Volvo with a laser gun getting people

Always will be a camera van around, all I can say is try using WAZE which usually alerts you to them quickly

Do you think speeding on a 1km straight road is somehow safe?

It's unlikely to be an area that's had a lot of incidents, which is the usual criteria for a camera or van being there, hence its probably for revenue.

Stop being so disagreeable.

Firstly, was an offence committed by the guy parking his camper van where he did and possibly blocking the scamera van?

The reaction of the camera operator is way ouf of order, hope he gets his nuts roasted for this incident.
