So just had it serviced and one of the fronts has a bulge in it and one of the rears has a cut down to the cord!

Want to keep run flats on it as often venture into the wilds of Scotland, so am looking to get the newer Goodyear F1 asym 3's instead of the 2's but they only are available in Xtra load and higher load ratings 96Y vs 92Y and 93Y vs 89Y.

Would there be any difference?

Confused the hell out of me and there is probably no difference but thought would ask here anyway!

You don’t say rim size. I have gone down to 18” (minimum with M sport brakes), from 19”.

Check your b pillar sticker. It will list correct load ratings etc.

I thought that the XL ones simply had a stiffer sidewall?

Happy to be corrected though.

Stronger thread throughout, not stiffer sidewall like RFT. Whitstands higher pressures required for higher loads. I only buy XL tyres now as I had enough of tyres losing shape or getting bulges in the sidewall.
