I have recently read that using Chemical-based wheel cleaners such as Muc off etc can TOTALLY destroy Ceramic Brake discs, is this true, guess it could make sense, easy way to blow 10-15k??

You wouldn't want to leave any acidic/alkaline product on a vehicle without quickly rinsing it off as it isn't going to do any good left to dwell.

There are infinite pH neutral products these days so no need to use anything harsh on a regular basis.

Ceramics are apparently porous and will pick up ie absorb aggressive chenicals and impact the performance of the rotors. i say apparently as I’ve only heard this second hand. I only use Ph neutral shampoo on the wheels for cars with ceramics. Unlike steels they shouldn’t get too dirty anyhow.

I've not used wheel cleaners on my steel braked cars for a good few years now, I've never used them on my ceramic braked cars because there's just no need. They produce so little detritus it's totally unnecessary.

Totally destroy is a bit of an exaggeration, but the epoxy binding can be affected by acid. "likely to increase the rate of visible wear" is more accurate.
