Rome Total War for the PC?

I'm wanting to play it, but can't buy brand new (£17.99 from play.com) due to monies and don't want to go 2nd hand from ebay due to too many imports & copies been sold.

Does anyone have it, no longer play it and be willing to pass it on for beer money?

Anyway, you can't have mine as I'm still playing it, but when you do get a copy download the patch before you even start playing the game, the little tweaks make it much more enjoyable.

And you don't know how lucky you are being able to play as the Romans to begin with, I'm trying to play as the Britons and the Brit's best troops simply don't stand up to the Romans.

I hate not having money I need to get a job ASAP! I don't think the mentality of "I have a degree and want to use it" is going to last long - even my computing science degree is proving useless when job hunting

IF you get it from someone else then that person is no longer able to play it as long as you have their CD. You have paid for one copy to be used by one person at a time, which is what is happening, therefore no one is stealing anything.

If I had an old car which I no longer drove and gave to a friend, no one could argue that friend was stealing the car. However, if I kept the car whilst my friend stole one from someone else, it would be a different story.

DragonLord, everyone else doesn't "download it from bittorrent" otherwise the developers wouldn't be able to write the games in the first place (as no-one would make money).

Nevin explains it the way I would as well, I'm asking if anyone has a legal copy they no-longer wish to use and don't mind passing it on. I'm guessing not though

sorry mate the game is too envolving to pass it on, even when you have completed it there are lots of other factions to play as and as someone has already said they are even harder. Anyone else tried it as the Parthians yet? now that makes it a hard game

I had thought that, but was wondering if anyone had bought it, played it for a little while and then decided they didn't like it anymore and put it on the shelf.

I'll just have to save my pennies for few weeks then!
