Has anyone got experience of extensive driving/ownership of both of these cars?
I’m coming to the realisation I don’t have the time to keep maintaining/fixing/modifying the cars (Panda 100HP and Fiat Coupe Turbo) I have and am tempted to sell both and finance something newer.
Both the I30N and Giulia Veloce are cars I’ve wanted for quite some time, but would be interested to know if anyone has a direct comparison. Both have similar power, and are a similar price range, but after that they seem quite different cars!
I’ll be doing one 100 mile a day commute a week, have 2 young kids, want something to have fun in at the weekend and maybe the very occasional trackday.

Not long term experience but test drove the veloce a few times and am reconsidering it again. I ended up getting a 3 series which is brilliant but didn't get under my skin the.way the veloce did. The steering in the veloce is superb. Feels more alive and more fun at lower speeds.

Apparently there are quite some updates coming in 2022 too?

No experience of the I30N, but the Veloce is a brilliant car.
I had a 67 plate on lease for three years, the chassis is sublime, it really is. The later cars feel better finished inside and have a few more toys as standard, but the stand out feature is Still the chassis that’s unchanged.
Only Achilles heal on the reliability side appears to be the battery charge system, which is not the best, and can let the battery flatten too easily. apart from that they seem pretty good mechanically and wear well inside too.
Dealers can be patchy and there are fewer of them than the Korean makes.

Evo had the Veloce as the best sports saloon available when I got mine. They were right.

Is the ESP annoying? I’m absolutely no driving hero but do like do a few autosolos where it’d be nice to have a bit of freedom

Get the Giulia it's a cracking steer but I'd be looking for a Ti:

I am going to offer another option & that the XE V6 S they're a great steer with a peach of an engine, not as spacious as the Giulia but for me these ride better:

It never really bothered me to be honest, I’ve never used it for Autosolos or anything though. Gut feeling is you wouldn’t manage to throw the back end out anyway, even with it switched off, ( on an Autosolo I mean) I think there would be too much grip, unless it was on the loose, or very slippy tar. A Q2 diff would help in that situation but I think It’s a bit big for that sort of thing, I’d get a cheap MX5 or a Saxo to play out with and use the Giulia for every day.

The Ti is very nice, but not worth the extra money IMO It’s mostly dressing, with nothing much substantially different.
