Problem repairing puncture in Contisilent tyre

Had a small puncture (small screw) in Contisilent tyre and local tyre centre told me it can’t be repaired safely due the crap glue that is used on the “silent” foam inside the tyre. So had to have 2 new tyres fitted! As it’s on an Audi RSQ3. Not very happy with £500 bill for a simple slow puncture! Anyone have the same issue, or a solution?

Does it make much difference to noise levels?

Fitted non-silent Contisports to avoid foam problem in future, makes no difference noise-wise, especially with the sports exhaust!
