Brake Bias - Rear Wheels Locking Up!!!!

Can anybody tell me if the Griffith has any form of bias valve fitted to the braking system. My car has a tendency to lock the rear wheels under heavy braking and I wondered if a valve has failed of if there is any adjustment that can be made.

It should have a bias valve, probably an inertial one. On the V8S this is located over the top of the driver's footwell, but it could be fitted anywhere in line with the rear brake circuit.

Tip

If you are braking on the down change they will lock up bcus loads of tourque

Sounds scary!

When I was under mine ealier, I noticed a unit mounted to the front of the rear subframe. Am going to investigate it closer when I find time because mine is totally the opposite.

My fronts lock up well before the rears. Are your front brakes working OK ?

Its on the chassis at the back near the diff. Pretty inaccessible but not adjustable anyway. If you are using engine braking then it will lock the rear wheels. Bigg no no for TVRs and cause of more write offs than is healthy. Equally a fault with the front brakes can cause the rears to lock up as the fronts don't take any of the load.
