alternative to a Golf GTE?

Yes I considered one when I was looking for a new car in June. Couldn't find any good ones nearby so bought an Audi A3 e-tron instead. Essentially the same car.
I also test drove a BMW 330e. Nice car, faster, but the electric range wasn't as good, it was larger and wasn't as practical as it didn't have a hatchback and the rear seats didn't fold down - there are some that have this option though.

We ran a GTE for 3 years. excellent car.
for 2 of those years I also had a 530e. Difficult to fault, but soulless and I preferred the GTE.
The GTE is probably the best plug in hybrid I've driven.
However if you're after a golf. The GTI is the better model as its better damped and more comfortable.
