GAME UK and Hermes Delivery - lost items and getting cash ba

I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but trustpukot reviews it's just page after page if this same issue.
Ordered a game on sat last week, item shipped Monday night, hermes received it Monday night, set to ship on Tuesday. On Wed I get an update that its on its way.
Then on Thursday lunchtime I get a notification of a "problem" but will be moving within 24 hours.
It's now been 4 days and no change.
Game live chat says its being looked at but trustpilot reviews seems to show this doesn't go anywhere.
What options are there if Game drag heels on refund?
Why companies still use hermes I do not fathom.
The special edition is out of stock at smyths now and amazon marketplace wat £100 for it. Seen it one other place but loath to buy it again and then find the game one turns up.
