I'm looking for a new car, and I like the T350c, I do about 20K a year, should I buy one? Alternatives are (Exige, Cayman or s/h 911) - I don't really like Porsches (for the image) but I do like the speed/handling. Any thoughts?

20k a year personally I'd say no.
A TVR is not your normal practical eurobox.
I'm not saying its not possible, but if its you're only car what you've got to take into consideration is that in the first year you are going to loose the car on four occasion just for servicing alone.
You can probably double that for returns for niggles and warranty work, and thats if you don't have any serious problems.
Then again I use mine every day, but I estimate I will only do 10k a year.
But there are probably people on here that have done that kind of mileage and are more qualified than me.

More you run them the better and MORE reliable they are, well thats what i found, 11k in 5 months, then sold it. Only thing, you can buy a second car for doing your useless mileage with the service costs! LOL (that what I have done now!!!!!)

No!!!

Unless you have deep pockets, that is 3 and bit services a year, probably averaging a grand a time,

The car'll have no problem with doing 20,000 miles per year but it will need to be serviced every 6,000 miles. Services will be £450 for each 6,000 miles and £850 for each 12,000.
If you can cope with the hassle of arranging all these services and any extra costs you may occur then good luck to you.

Had mine a year, done 14,000 miles in it. It was also off the road for a month & a bit with a problem.

In that year I've had its 6000, 12000 & 18000 mile services to do, which were approx. £700, £2150 (included new tyres all round) & £700. Thats nearly £300 per month just in upkeep (without any major problems or upgrades).

The car is fine for everyday driving & as Sacha said, they seem to be better for it, although costs do obviously mount up very quickly.

I would still use mine daily, but living in Italy, servicing has proved a bit difficult (I bring it back to Gatwick TVR each time!!).

Have to say, I still do an average of around 200 miles a week, but the car just doesnt run aswell as when i used it daily.

If you can afford it, I would do it as they are really better for it!
