A lockdown will not help anyone. In fact the opposite, as all it will do is destroy more businesses/lives and will not make any difference to infections in the long term. Everyone is going to get covid, over and over again, forever. Lockdowns will not change that. I am happy to do things that make a difference, but not to follow mindless bulls

If they did another they can go stuff themselves! Everybodys had two jabs so let us get on with it & make our own decisions
It was all bit silly anyway can't have people in your house etc etc but the wife can go to work & be around hundreds of people everyday with impossible social distancing

If we get to the point where we need a full lockdown the government will have really screwed up.
It certainly wouldn't hurt us financially, but I'd be annoyed from the point of view of my daughter's education if they close schools again.

There are 2 situations where it may be appropriate:
1) If the NHS is overloaded to the extent that patients whose lives could be saved with treatment are not being treated. In this case a lockdown may reduce the load and delay some people getting infected until they could receive treatment.
2) If there is a new treatment that will soon be available that will reduce the numbers severely affected. In this case a lockdown may delay infections until the new treatment could make the disease more survivable.
I'd be against a further lockdown or any additional measures on the way to a lockdown unless either of these were the case.

We can afford it. The financial help is one thing but as directors of our own Ltd (est 1957 not for tax reasons) we did not take furlough. We simply cant go on with these long periods of making no profit. Also its taking its toll as when we are allowed to trade its much more busy than usual - its bloody hard in fact. And all the time as a small shop we watched the big boys continue to trade and get bigger.
Living in Wales, we've lost count of the number of 'lockdowns' we've had. We're not completely out of the last one, we're still asked to wear masks in-doors, unless you're in a Hospitality venue. Although compliance is pretty poor at this stage. I think we're supposed to be working from home if we can too, that's long forgotten.
We've had local lockdowns, we've had a firebreak (a year ago this week), we've had so many restrictions, often at different times to the rest of the UK confusion was inevitable.
They've all 'worked' in so much that numbers fell, at least for a while, lives were saved and Hospitals managed, but with each one, compliance fell. People have had enough.
Based on our previous, I suspect we'll see more restrictions in Wales before the end of the year, it's justified if there's a risk Hospitals will be over-whelmed, but I don't know how well it will work. From the Moment Covid landed in the UK, most people were for restrictions, but only restrictions that didn't effect them personally too much, childless people wanted schools closed, those with office jobs wanted WFH, people with young families wanted Clubs and Pubs closed and those of us who drive to work, wanted masks on buses and trains etc.
With masks already a requirement indoors in Wales, they'll have to come up with something else if they need numbers to fall. There's talk of another 2 weeks firebreak of near total lockdown, back when you could only leave your home to buy food and 45 mins outdoors on your own etc, there's talk of closing pubs and restaurants again. If they really need to reduce numbers, then it'll have to be something like that, that can be enforced, there's little point just asking people to change, we've all had enough.
So, if they close the pubs, I can't go, if they say I can't drive 15 mins to ride my bike where I want to, I'll ignore them. I won't work from home, it's hell for me.
Justification doesn't really come into it. Delta is a bh, it's very contagious, but everyone in Wales has been offered a vaccine and they work but not 100%. Lockdowns wont stop people who are going to die of covid from dying, we're all going to get it at some point, but that's, a 'good' thing, it's really sad that people will die, I know all too well, but it's the situation we find ourselves in, the only way to end it now, is by nature taking it's course.

From a financial perspective it will be difficult, being self employed and good old Rishi screwing me over it would do more harm personally than good.
I've lost two years of my life, no travel, no holidays, worked from home for 15 months... I'm done with it, I've had my jabs followed the law to the letter and the prospect of a 3rd lockdown I'll probably just ignore it, it's winter anyway I live in the middle of nowhere so by default I am in lockdown and isolated.

k itself! There is not a snowball in hells chance I would abide by the rules if they were to try this again. We've lost enough time / rights / mental health from the last 18 months.
Needs 2 separate polls ideally. The first being yes/no to whether you'll comply this time, the second as to whether you did last time.
Anyone choosing the 3rd or 4th option above is also likely to choose the 2nd this time round but we can only vote once, so the bottom 3 options are all essentially voting for NO this time.
Interesting results so far though, and agrees with what I'm hearing from people generally (as in 2 out of 3 will ignore any lockdown this time). My guess is it'll be more like 50/50 in reality, but even that's enough to make it a worthless exercise.

My selfish hope is that despite the massive pointless damage it will do the economy and the health of the nation, Boris does enact a second lockdown.
I'm already nostalgic for the gloriously empty roads and cheap petrol of summer 2020, and this time I won't have the guilt of breaking the rules now that I know they are all pointless

Even with most people vaccinated, if we end up with a constant 1000 or 2000 people per day being admitted to hospital due to Covid, and the system is swamped, what then? What do we do?

In the event of another lockdown, I will mostly behave myself, just because that's the sort of person I am. I mostly work from home anyway, and haven't honestly had that much spare time recently to go to shops/restaurants etc.

I have said repeatedly that deaths are a red herring to a certain extent, and it is the capacity/beds in the NHS that we need to be concerned about.
