I posted this a few months ago:

TLDR: teenage girl was victim of some harsh online bullying and severe threats by two boys in her year at high school. She's now moved schools. Police were called, they spoke to all parties, took her phone as evidence (since returned) and there's an email trail of events between the school, police and the girl's parents.

Update... for completely unrelated reasons (an accident she had) the police turned up at her new school and in front of the school's welfare office quizzed her about possible abuse she was suffering at home. The girl was embarrassed, angry and upset as she had to explain the whole situation again to the policewoman after being lead out of the class in front of her new friends. She said that all of this should be on record, why was she being made to go through it all again?

The policewoman went away and a few days later got in touch to say there was no trace of any of the previous police interactions on record anywhere.

This struck me as odd. Is it?

There should at least be an incident logged in relation to the initial call to Police, and probably a crime report in relation to the phone threats.

Is it the same police area? There are lots of systems where information is only recorded locally (ie the owning force).
