Trickle-charging a V8V

I know about the boot charging point, but I park my car forwards against my garage door (car stays on the drive)

I'd rather not be trailing a lead all the way round to the back of the car to charge it, as some oik is likely to pull at it when walking past.

So - I know about the jump start point under the bonnet - can this be used as the positive terminal for trickle charging?

You can also use the cigarette lighter on the Vantage (and Vanquish) just leave the window down a few mm.

It stops you driving off better than when you hear a loud noise as the charger lead exits the boot.

The CTEK charging point on the number plate plinth continues to work a treat - one of the best, easiest upgrades on the Aston. We in Auckland in lockdown once more and running the Aston around the post code doesn't do it for me, so keeping the battery topped off keeps everything in top shape for freedom day...

As an aside, my wife shakes her head at my pushing the car around in the garage, every few days - flat spots the scourge .... Push too far, and the CTEK magnetic connector simply pops off - small things ...
