How the fk does this happen? One dead and one seriously injured, from a 'misfire' of a prop gun on a set?

None of the injured parties actually in front of camera either.

Seems like the oddest thing to have even been possible, let alone what sequence of events has lead this.

Especially after the Crow... But that was 30 years ago. Surely there's no real bullets anywhere near set for any reason?

I assume the gun failed. Presumably shrapnel went sideways and ... we know the result.

Didn't this happen in an episode of Columbo?

He is married to a nutter, so he himself may also be nuts too.

So will wait to see what the details are.

When Bruce lees son was killed on set it was found that a casing had become lodged in the barrel, and the next blank fired turned it into a bullet. Interestingly the film is about a child jailed for accidentally shooting someone. Perhaps Alec was taking his method acting a bit too seriously

Makes some sense - although no reference to Baldwin being injured, which you'd assume must happen in that scenario?

(haven't watched the vid - I'm 'working'...)

With all the post production, etc., I don't understand why there's any need for anything beyond a token 'cap gun' type 'bang'. Certainly not anything that actually creates a decent level of pressures...

It's so the gun cycles realistically when using autoloaders. Also cheap and available.

Revolvers don't have that problem, so there is a preference for their use in film.

Sorry! Did look, but obviously not well enough.

Big Al.
