My daughters Teacher

Posting on here as I’m hoping cooler heads will prevail.
One of my daughters Teachers, who she has lessons with several times a week, has, according to my daughter, been teaching the class some quite unorthodox views.
In the last couple of weeks we’ve had:
1; You only have free speech providing it isn’t hurting anyone’s feelings
2; Maths is racist. 1+1 = 3
3; Great Britain carried out the Holocaust
My daughter, (aged 11), pulled him up on points 2 & 3, only to be ridiculed in front of the whole class.
My natural inclination is to get myself worked up and to go and have a ‘word’ with this Teacher as he gets into his car one evening, but as tempting as that is, it’s not likely to end well for me in the long term.
Complaining to the school is likely to be a waste of time, as they’ll just back this guy to the hilt no matter what.
I just wondered if any of you chaps had any suggestions that are likely to yield positive results?
And no, this isn’t a wind-up or an attention seeking thread.

I know it’s hard to fathom. I struggle too.There are people out there that think that logic and precise calculation are white cultural phenomena.

Surely the idea that logic and precise calculation are a white cultural phenomenon is, in itself, racist? As for the others:
1) I wouldn't necessarily call that controversial. Like it or not, there is no right to free speech in UK law and "hate speech" is explicitly a crime.
3) Err, yeah that's just odd.
But yeah, your first point of call would be the school governors (in writing with specific dates and if possible direct quotes). If that fails, the LEA?

PH at it's finest. I had cause to grumble to my kids' primary school after their performance during the first lockdown was woeful, especially compared to other primary schools in the neighbourhood. Literally just an email with a few worksheets for English and maths sent on a Monday each week - it took them weeks to arrange even a single Zoom meeting, whilst other nearby schools were running something approaching a full timetable.
When it became apparent that lockdown 2 was coming, I wrote a firm letter expressing my disappointment, and sent it to both the headteacher and the board of governors. That got a formal response from both, and their effort was substantially better during the second lockdown. I also sent it to the PTA, not that it's their role at all to deal with these things, but it's quite a wide audience of other 'normal parents' and got thanked by several of them in a 'thank God somebody said it' manner.
So, try and gather evidence (are you friends with parents of other kids in her class, so can get the details from more than one source?) and raise it with the governors as well as the headteacher.

My first point of call would be a quick word or email with the teacher in question, perhaps along the lines of “has my wee Janey being saying anything strange in class? She said yesterday UK committed the Holocaust and maths is racist…”

1)Find out exactly what the teacher said to your daughter before proceeding, tell your daughter she’s not in trouble but you want to know the exact comments.
