Couple more questions...

A morning of cleaning and fiddling around has given rise to some questions

1) The rear section of the parcel shelf drops too low when the hatch is shut - the cords are too long. I've just twigged that the cords are elasticated - is it possible to split the pacel shelf to get at the elasticated bit?

2) The C-pillar interior trim is loose - I've had a peer behind it and I can't see any obvious methods of fixing - is it just the usual "fir tree" push-in fittings?

3) While I was investigating the C-pillar trim, I noticed that the bottom mount for the gas strut is moving around slightly - I can see that the plate that the ball joint is screwed into is slightly loose (might explain why the C-pillar trim is also loose if someone has been working on something up there). Is it a bolt-in plate or is there something more serious amiss?

4) Is it worth chucking a PAYG SIM into the SIM slot for the phone? Is it actually any good?

2. C pillar trim doesn't fit very well. One of mine comes away occasionally. Dealers use double sided tape.
3. Needs fixing before it gets worse. There is a thread on here. A repair plate is availabe, but I made my own.

I'm handy with a hacksaw and files and I have various offcuts of aluminium and stainless steel, so I'll probably have a go myself
