991.2 GTS loss of coolant
Discussion
Owned my 2017 GTS since Feb, and when I bought it the coolant was low, so I topped it up and thought nothing more about it at the time.
Then had the big service carried out by main dealer in August, nothing mentioned, and no issues.
I’ve only done about 1,500 miles since then, and the low coolant light came on, so I filled it up again.
Is this usual? I have limited mechanical knowledge, so this could be typical for a high performance engine, but it doesn’t happen on my other cars.
Thanks

Not usual. Indicative of a small leak.
Did you report the coolant loss when you took the car in for it’s service ?
If you did, they should’ve pressure tested the cooling system for leaks and rectified it/them.
If you didn’t make them aware and the leak was small it would most likely have been missed.

About once or twice a year, mine will say it’s out of coolant and the temp shoots up, then 2 mins later it’s back to normal and will be fine for 6-12 months. Always happens in colder temps and less than 3 miles from home.
Reported it to Porsche and they say it’s not even logged a fault.
