After some advise as I’m not very technologically competent! Having just sold my house, we are moving into short term rented until we can complete on our new purchase. What would be the best option for short term home broadband? We will likely only be there 2-3 months so don’t want to get into any sort of contract but just looking at options. At home we’d normally use internet for normal internet stuff as well as streaming Netflix and nowtv, the occasional gaming and also run the peloton (very rarely all of those things at once!) I had looked into a pay as you go ‘4GEE’ router from EE. Would this be capable enough? Our rental property is in the middle of a town and when I went over yesterday my phone was showing as having 5G so signal strength shouldn’t be an issue.

Easiest way for a short term is probably to extend your mobile phone contract to give more data, then set up a hotspot from that. Or buy a 4G router and an unlimited Smarty SIM (assuming you have 3 signal where you are moving to), then sell the router once you've moved to your final destination and have 'conventional' internet.

Huawei 4g mifi dongle is £40-odd. £20 per month for unlimited through smarty on 3 network.
At £40 I wouldn't even bother selling it, it's a handy thing to have.
