A DSG box similar to the Audi/VW one should be available once the 997TT is released.
really? that would be awesome; i took a golf gti with dsg paddles etc for a test drive the other day. absolutley fantastic... i did wonder if they would put this into a porsche. surely the future of gear changing. would love one to see one on a gt2/3 in the future.
btw the new golf gti is an excellent car too, if anyone's thinking about it.
aye.. the Audi/VW DSG system will be in the 911 soon... assuming they can fix all the bugs !!!!
be ready 911 owners who get this option (to be launched when the new 997 Turbo is released) for potential software problems !!!!!
but otherwise works great and is as fast as they come... a ferrari wouldn't stand a chance !

VS - that's what I meant by PDK - can't remember all the details on this, but IIRC they raced it in a 962 and one of the specialist tuners offered their own version - I think it was RUF but can't be 100% sure. Anyway, it was too heavy and unrefined at the time (IIRC) to be offered as a road option.
Don't forget Sportomatic either - was an option on some Porsche models from about 1969 to 1979 - again that's from memory

www.zeroshift.com anyone?
How absolutely fascinating. I seriously hope they are able to win a big contract and start fitting the system to mass market cars - should be fantastic.
I really must go try a flappy paddle system at some point...
